Occupying a 579-square-meter (175-ping) space, the “Taipei City Hakka Library and Video Center” is the first Hakka-themed video library in Taiwan. It has a collection of more than 8,000 books and is a treasure house for Hakka researchers and scholars. It also has a comprehensive software and hardware audio-visual equipment, which enable it to classify and properly preserve Hakka’s culture and history, ballads and dramas by means of multimedia and digital format, thereby enriching the collection of the library and be valued and respected by all Hakka groups all over Taiwan. The modern decoration and digitalized content of the library has also successfully attracted the young people to join, allowing them to become a new force in the study and discussion of Hakka culture.
The venue of the “Taipei City Hakka Library and Video Center” is also open for lease. Please contact the reception during operating hours for them to provide you with the application form.
