Free Guided walk on 27th July, Fujhoushan and Zhongpushan of Taipei Grand Trail Section 6
Supervised by the Geotechnical Engineering Office and organized by the Taiwan Nature Trail Society, the third guided tour conducted in English this year is coming. On 27th July, the guided tour brings you to Taipei Grand Trail Section 6. The 2.5km-tour will last for about 2.5 hours (interpretation included). Fuyang Eco park and Fujhoushan is easily accessible, just a few minutes’ walk from MRT Linguang Station. Fujhoushan is about 100-meter high and has an excellent view on the platform of Fujhoushan Park. The eastern Peak of Zhongpushan(137-meter high) provides another view of Xinyi District and Fujhoushan. The trail ends at lane 21, Section 4, Xinhai Road which is close to MRT Xinhai Station. Traffic information: MRT Brown Line (Wenhu Line), get off at (BR06) Linguang Station About Fuyang Eco park, Fujhoushan and Zhongpushan: Fuyang Eco park, Fujhoushan and Zhongpushan belong to Section 6 of Taipei Grand Trail. They are also the Southern Path of Tamsui-Kavalan Trail (Danlan Historic Trails). The trail used to be an important route for residents of Shiding and Shenkeng traveling to Taipei City. During the time of the Japanese Colonial Period to 1988, the site of Fuyang Eco Park was used as a military ammunition depot. There was also a Cemetery nearby. Therefore, the natural habitats of Fuyang Eco park, Fujhoushan and Zhongpushan preserved well.
